Weighted supplier ranking.
Use it for supplier reviews. Enter on-time and quality performance with price and service scores, set the weights, and it ranks suppliers with an A to D rating.
Weights are rescaled to 100% if they do not add up.
Price score: 5 is the most competitive. Service score: 5 is the most responsive.
Score = weighted average of on-time %, quality %, price score ÷ 5 and service score ÷ 5. A is 90 or more, B 80 to 89, C 70 to 79, D below 70.
A supplier scorecard turns supplier performance into a few clear, weighted measures you can review regularly.
Supplier A scores 92% on-time and 450 PPM; Supplier B scores 78% on-time and 120 PPM. With delivery weighted at 40% and quality at 40%, B's lower defect rate keeps it close, so the review focuses on B's delivery reliability.
Common KPIs are on-time in-full delivery, quality (rejects or PPM), cost and responsiveness.
Monthly for critical suppliers and quarterly for others is typical.
Many manufacturers target 95% or more for key suppliers.
